Distance to moon
The Moon is an average distance of nearly 240,000 miles from Earth. That is about 80,000 times longer then the average length between the east and west coasts, or about 40,000 round trips. If you left Earth driving 60 miles an hour for 12 hours a day, it would only take 331 days of continuous driving before you arrived! In comparison, it would take about that number in years instead of days to reach the sun.
Though the Moon is far away, its affects on the Earth and Humanity are undeniable.
